*2008 marks the eleventh season for Nashville Shores.
*Nashville Shores is comprised of 385 acres of lakefront property, which includes approximately ½ mile of sandy beach.
*Nashville Shores has a 320-slip marina (with fuel station/pump out station)
*Nashville Shores owns its own catering business to accommodate the many visitors and company picnics.
*Nashville Shores is one of Middle Tennessee's top group and company destinations. The park can accommodate groups or companies up to 10,000 people.
*In 2007, Nashville Shores hosted more than 600 groups in its more than 15 group areas, most of which have been built or renovated in the past two years. Approximately 175 events were corporate events, attracting some of Middle Tennessee's top companies. Nashville Shores' corporate event bookings have more than tripled since 2004.
*To help better accommodate and meet the needs of groups, Nashville Shores has developed new, private, group-friendly areas. These exclusive group areas are complete with lush, landscaped walkways, activity fields, new restrooms and thousands of square feet of covered space.
The group areas include:
Willow Creek Picnic Village – A exclusive area designed specifically for groups of less than 100 with covered bridges, flowing creeks and covered picnic areas.
Cedar Glade – A private cove, spectacular lake views, and a covered pavilion highlight this area designed for larger groups.
Sycamore Valley Showcase Pavilion – A rustic getaway nestled in the pristine woods of Nashville Shores with an amphitheatre and one-acre activity field.
ShadyPoint Lakeside Picnic Village – Middle Tennessee's only lakeside picnic village highlighted by more than 5,000 flowers, trees and shrubs, a babbling brook and a beautiful lake view.
August 2008
*Summer Nights (Friday, August 15) – A 21 and older party highlighted by a showing of Grease lakeside.
*APBA Watercross Jet-Ski Nationals (Friday, August 29 – Sunday, August 31) – Hundreds of America's top personal watercraft (PWC) riders compete for the national championship in several classes.
September 2008
*Music City Triathlon (Sunday, September 14) – America's second oldest triathlon is held at Nashville Shores.
